One key thing Pochettino wants in his new signings

 The Daily Mail are one of several papers with Sunday night exclusives about Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival at Chelsea. It seems the club are briefing that the decision has been made, and letting people know what comes next.

The Mail’s piece has an interesting sliver about something Pochettino will ask for from the suits upstairs in charge of building his squad – it claims that he’s particularly keen on players who know the league:

“Pochettino, ideally, wants any new recruits to have Premier League experience.”

That makes sense, given the slew of new faces brought in from abroad in the last 12 months. It seems a sensible policy, and there are plenty of gems in the division, even if some are extremely expensive.

It’s also noted that he is a fan of Mason Mount, and wants the midfielder to stay. It will be interesting to see if the process is too far gone to be repaired.
